Retail Junior Team Leader
You will be responsible for day to day performance and operations in Industry & Co with the assistance of our team leaders and store managers. This includes assisting management in meeting monthly sales targets, maintaining an excellent level of customer service, managing stock to maximise sales potential and ensuring that the Industry & Co brand is represented visually in the store at all times.
You will be expected to follow procedure to ensure the smooth running of the store. You will take then lead in handling customer issues effectively to resolution while ensuring standards are met at all times. You will assist with managing full and part time sales staff and assist with regular staff training. You will have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills and an appreciation for good design. You will have at least two years sales experience in high end retail. You will understand and be passionate about Industry & Co’s ethos.

Responsibilities
- Customer Service – Provide excellent customer service to our customers both in store and online, driving and delivering sales targets.
- Store Operations – Assist in the running and maintaining of store operations such as processing deliveries, stock room organisation and inventory management.
- Daily – Complete all daily processes including those of a store sales assistant
- Stock Management – liaise with team leaders and senior management on stock levels, manage stock deliveries, oversee stock room organisation and display merchandising
- Product Knowledge – demonstrate in-depth knowledge of all products (incl. training as necessary)
- Staff Training – Assist with training of new staff on company policy, procedures and brand information. Assist staff to ensure they are informed and knowledgeable at all times.
- Staff Management – Assist management with the smooth running of the stores, including delegating and overseeing of jobs and staff reprimanding when required. Be a point of contact for all staff enquiries and issues when the team leader is not present.
- Sales Targets – work with the management team to deliver monthly sales target for the store
- Sales & Supplier Management - manage and process customer orders through to completion
- Delivery & Shipping - manage shipping and delivery processes
- Problem Solving – you will try to resolve any problems and complaints before escalating to upper management.
- Store Upkeep - oversee all aspects of store maintenance including daily process
- Sales & Supplier Management – manage and process customer orders through to completion
- Store Upkeep – Ensuring the brand is correctly visually represented in store through meticulous attention to detail, oversee all aspects of store maintenance and upkeep
- Brand ambassador – Acting as a brand ambassador in your behaviour and outlook at all times.
- Store Security – Responsible for security within the store
- Step into the Team Leader Roles & Responsibilities when the Team Leader isn’t physically present
Key Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in a similar Team Leader role.
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong retail sales skill set
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Highly organised
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Background in interior design, homeware's & lifestyle or in the design industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel (Adobe Suite - Photoshop, InDesign would be an advantage)
- This role is a 37.5- 40 hours role based on a 5 over 7 day week
- Must be available both weekday's and weekend's
