Head Barista (FT)
Industry & Co. is looking for an experienced Head Barista to lead our café team on Drury Street, in the heart of Dublin’s Creative Quarter.
Our café sits inside our design store with a hatch that opens out on to an inviting outside terrace and has become a destination for great coffee, good food and a welcoming atmosphere. We’re looking for someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day running of the café, maintain high standards of coffee and service, and support the development of our team.
You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the café’s coffee programme and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the café team during service and ensuring smooth daily operations
- Preparing speciality coffee to a consistently high standard
- Maintaining excellent customer service and a welcoming atmosphere
- Training and supporting both full-time and part-time staff
- Monitoring product quality and service standards
- Managing stock levels and supporting ordering when required
- Ensuring all HACCP and food safety procedures are followed
- Reporting to senior management on café performance, sales and stock
Key Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership role within a café or speciality coffee environment
- Strong knowledge of speciality coffee preparation
- Experience managing and training a team
- Ability to lead service in a busy café environment
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Fluent English
